There Goes the Judge The grief continues to flow for former Judge Jim Oxendine, father of gubernatorial candidate John Oxendine. Last month, Oxendine was removed from the bench by Gwinnett’s Superior Court judges when it was discovered that he represented a local developer in the sale of land to the county. The deal is one of several pushed by Oxendine family friend, Chairman Charles Bannister, and which deal is currently the subject of a special Grand Jury investigation.

The news has now broken that, in August, Oxendine was ousted as Chairman of board of the Roosevelt Warm Springs Rehabilitation Development Fund:

According to minutes of the meeting, obtained by 11alive News, Judge Oxendine was removed after he authorized payments to a political consultant with close ties to his son Insurance Commissioner and candidate for Governor John Oxendine.
