Janis Gold Must Die

Janeane GarofaloOkay, Opie, I gave you a tentative pass when you replaced Chloe O’Brian with washed up, gutter comedienne Janeane Garofalo on my favorite TV show, “24.” Sure, I understand that CTU has been disbanded and the responsibility for defending the nation against domestic and foreign terrorists has been turned over to the FBI.

But Janeane Garofalo? Her reputation has an out-spoken, ultra-left wing liberal is well known. Yeah, I knew that there wouldn’t be much opportunity for her to spout her leftist drivel from behind a computer monitor, but if we must rely on a dour sourpuss to help save the nation, give me Chloe any day. At least, she’s a nice tree hugger.

Garofalo’s rant regarding the April 15 “Tea Party” attendees across the nation on Keith Olbermann’s show has done it for me. I attended the Atlanta event. I know that I am not a racist, and I would be willing to vouch for most of the folks there. It wasn’t, as she said, all about expressing hatred for America’s first black President. It was about expressing disgust for an out-of-control government, and about kicking off a grass-roots effort to jerk it back into submission and control.

I want to support Jack as he saves the republic… again… but I can no longer stomach Garofalo’s role in my Monday night entertainment.

Janis Gold must die.

Send her on a super secret mission with Agent Walker, then let the good-then-bad-then-good-then-bad Tony Almeida pop a cap in her liberal ass. With production schedules as they are, I know that I might have to wait for a couple of episodes. Heck, I would settle for an announcement, in the final credits, that she had been horribly maimed and killed in a freak hard-drive wiping accident.

Until you act on this very reasonable request, I will be forced to take drastic measures. In Atlanta, “24” is preceded by “House.” My house will double up on our “House” drinking game… we will now do a double shot every time the disease “Sarcoidosis” is offered as a diagnosis.

Sufficiently inebriated to dull the pain of viewing that wench’s ugly mug, we will pelt the TV screen with tea bags whenever she appears. While the mere thought of “tea bagging” Garofalo makes me wretch and convulse, I can think of no more appropriate response until you kill her off.

Janis Gold must die. She must die a horrible death. If she can be the victim of a right-wing extremist, ex-Iraqi veteran, so much the better.

She blathered:

“… let’s be very honest about what this is about. It’s not about bashing Democrats, it’s not about taxes, they have no idea what the Boston tea party was about, they don’t know their history at all. This is about hating a black man in the White House. This is racism straight up. That is nothing but a bunch of teabagging rednecks. And there is no way around that. And you know, you can tell these type of right wingers anything and they’ll believe it, except the truth….”

More Garofalo lunacy: “Here’s what the right-wing has in, there’s no shortage of the natural resources of ignorance, apathy, hate, fear. As long as those things are in the collective conscious and unconscious, the Republicans will have some votes. Fox News will have some viewers. But what else have they got? If they didn’t do that, who is going to watch — you know what I mean? They have tackled that elusive clam — you know, the clam, the 18 to 35 clam — klan. Klan. With a k demo. But, you know, who else is Fox talking to? I mean, what is it urban older white guys? And the girlfriend, and, you know, the women who suffer from Stockholm syndrome gain. There’s a lot of Stockholm syndrome, is what I’m saying ultimately.”
